ABSTRACT
Objetivo: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a incidência de sífilis adquirida na cidade de Guanambi, Bahia, Brasil no período de 2011 a 2016. Métodos: Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental de estudo descritivo com uma abordagem quantitativa e transversal, utilizando as variáveis: gênero, etnia e idade. Resultados: Um total de 57 pacientes notificados e confirmados com sífilis adquirida foi avaliado entre os anos de 2011 e 2016. Encontrou-se uma diferença estatisticamente significativa (p £ 0,05) ao se avaliar em que faixa etária houve maior número de casos durante os anos estudados, sendo, portanto, entre 15-35 anos. Conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo constataram que não houve aumento dos casos notificados de sífilis e que a mesma não atinge um grupo específico, e por isso é de suma importância que as campanhas de prevenção e toda a assistência continuem sendo prestadas a toda a população, independentes de etnia, gênero ou idade, para que os números de casos não venham a aumentar.
Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the incidence of acquired syphilis in the city of Guanambi, Bahia, Brazil from 2011 to 2016. Methods: This is a documentary research of descriptive study with a quantitative and transversal approach, using the variables: Gender, ethnicity and age. Results: A total of 57 reported and confirmed patients with acquired syphilis were evaluated during 2011-2016. Among which there was a statistically significant difference (p ≤ 0, 05) in relation to the age group with the highest number of cases during the studied years, being herefore, between 15-35 years. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that there was no increase in syphilis cases notified and that it did not affect a specific group, and so it is very important that the prevention campaigns and all assistance be provided to the entire population, regardless of gender, ethnicity and age; so that the numbers of cases will not increase
